Home Lending Library

Our Home Lending Library has over 100 books that have been placed in book bags to be checked out. The bags include a book to read, a nursery rhyme to learn, and a literacy activity to be done. The books were selected from a recommendation by the research study done by Dr. Laura B. Smolkin of the national Center for the Improvement of Early Reading Achievement (CIERA). These books use common themes found in preschools and have good readability of knowledge in a range of categories. As an extension of our Core Knowledge® Preschool sequence, this library has been planned to give families strong literacy-development support.

and when he is old he will not turn from it.
